Kristen Stewart, 33, divides the internet after stepping out in her underwear and red high heels

The public having strong opinions on the wardrobe choices of certain celebrities is nothing new. After all, retaining a spot in the limelight comes with the acceptance that many of the decisions you make – clothing included – will be scrutinized by fans and detractors alike.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart is no stranger to fame, so one might argue that she knew exactly what she was doing when she stepped out in New York recently flaunting a bold look that drew comments from many online.

As per reports, the 33-year-old Stewart donned a cream-colored shirt that left little to the imagination. The actress’s bra and knitted underwear were exposed, while she complemented the outfit with a pair of dark red stilettos and a black handbag.

It should come as little surprise that her rather revealing wardrobe choice attracted the attention of the masses online.

There were many among Stewart’s fan base who praised her daring look, though the positive sentiments were contrasted by others who took a more critical approach.

One person wrote: “She looks stunning. Love her audacity and newfound style.”

While another added: “Can do no wrong. Brilliant in every way.“

“Looking so beautiful,” added a third.

“I am obsessed with this look!” said another.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, other members of the public focused on the fact that Stewart’s outfit exposed more skin usual.

“Somebody forgot their trousers,” one commenter wrote online. “This is definitely not a good look.”

A second chimed: “don’t understand the recent makeover; the styling doesn’t seem to suit her at all.”

“This inappropriate dressing needs to stop. Celebrities can parade around in their homes, but not out in public,” a third opined.

A fourth claimed: “She’s become desperate to get attention.“

Stewart is currently on the promotional trail for her latest movie, Love Lies Bleeding, a flick wherein she plays a secluded gym manager captivated by an ambitious bodybuilder.

Speaking on the movie, the Oscar-nominated actress recently told The Hollywood Reporter: “The existence of a female body thrusting any type of sexuality at you that’s not designed for exclusively straight males is something people are not super comfy with and so I’m really happy with it.”
